Denavolo 'Mansano'

At certain points in one’s love affair with wine, you hit a patch were you might not feel the passion like you did at one time. That’s why there are wines like this, where you try to do your research and find some understanding...but some wines feel like they are outside of the now. The internet is no help, and any information you have seems either made up or dubious at best. So maybe this is Sauvignon Blanc. But it doesn’t matter. No prior Sauvignon Blanc mood would bring you to this wine. And you know what: we’d rather not know, because knowing isn’t  always understanding.  (Full disclosure: this might have been written after we finished the bottle.)
