It's worth noting that there are many clones (some say 'biotypes') of Sangiovese. The Sangiovese found in Montalcino is different from the Sangiovese found in Chianti. It's because grapes are highly adaptable and prone to 'mutation'. (But the positive kind of mutation, like the X-Men.)
